Club General Liability Insurance

The SFMS is pleased to be able to provide individual clubs with cost effective General Liability Insurance protection. It covers club activities with the exception of shows (see show/event insurance below).

Payment is based on the number of members in your club and it is paid separately from SFMS dues, but you can indicate the desire to enroll in SFMS liability insurance when your club renews its SFMS membership.

Club Show/Event Insurance

The SFMS is pleased to be able to provide event insurance for scheduled shows and other public events. If you are not sure whether or not your event should have event insurance, please contact the insurance liaison (email address below).

Payment is based on the number of events planned for the year. Show/Event insurance is paid separately from SFMS dues, but you can indicate the desire to enroll in SFMS show/event insurance when your club renews its SFMS membership.

There is no longer an insurance form for enrolling in SFMS insurance. You must indicate if you want to enroll in SFMS insurance when you renew your club membership. Then, you will receive an invoice a few weeks later. Please click here for the Club Membership Renewal page.

Note: If you decide to host a show after the insurance enrollment period, contact the insurance liaison at the email address below.

Show Insurance Certificate

Once your club has paid for show insurance, you may need an insurance certificate, for example if your venue requires a copy. To request a copy of your show insurance certificate, please see the request form below.

Insurance certificates will be issued approximately 30 days prior to show/event. Be sure your request is in to us prior to that.

Quarry Field Trip

One of the benefits of belonging to the SFMS is being able to get affordable field trip liability insurance. Clubs that carry liability insurance can conduct field trips to places that other people would never be able to visit. At this quarry, members collected granite with blue quartz in it.
