Wood Ash Crystals

Crystals can be grown using a process similar to extracting lye from wood ashes. A concentrated solution of alkali salts (sodium, potassium, and calcium) derived from boiling wood ashes produced these beautiful crystals, and a few other trace elements caused the yellow color.
